TANGO.
THE music dictates us what to do?
The man moves and carries the woman, who follows?
Dancing Tango as a couple, we become an instrument complementing music of sounds.
We play music of movements, feelings, and pose. We became an equal part of the orchestra and the whole
crowd.
An equal part.!!!!
The man may leads the step, the woman reacts, but the lead is not a step.
We,move in accordance with lady's reaction to the movement. Reacting she leads us.
This is an equal game...
Only experience in Life and Dance can you understand this!!
If all this makes sense and doesn't contradict!!! your on the way to the journey of TANGO.
Definition of contradict.
1. Deny the truth by asserting the opposite.
2. Assert the opposite.
Hence why The Tango is so mis-understood until you understand the Language of Tango.
Keith Parker
The leader? the follower relationship.
What do we learn about the relationship?
The follower is being responsive
(but never submisive)
to the leader,is creating a very subtle relationship.
Whilst creating the improvised form of dance, within
which the follower will respond, the leader is,hopefully
enabling the follower to invoke this subtle relationship
and again hopefully she will release it in the
expression of:
HER BEAUTY
HER GRACE
HER FLIRTATION
HER SEDUCTIVENESS
HER AGGRESSION
HER GENTLENESS
AND IN HER FEMININITY
ALL OF WHICH SHE SO OFTEN, WILL HAVE KEPT
CAREFULLY AWAY.
It is THIS challenge TO ATTEMPT TO REVEAL the
inner nature of the follower, that the leader should
attempt to provoke whenever he excepts the
EMBRACE.
From that moment he should provide the follower
with:
The intimate space,
The adventure,
The displacement,
The challenge,
The opportunity,
The changes in tempo,
and the delight
of an unexpected surprise movement and all
offered and received in a dream of being
Graceful and courteous.
ROMANTIC EXPRESSION
Dance is essentially an expression of FUN, ROMANCE
AND OF LOVE.
LOVE of the music
The steps
The follower who has excepted the embrace
The leader who has excepted the embrace
The WAITING........she waits for the lead
he waits for her, to complete their movement
The expression of Fun......
The expression of romance.....
and of course the challenge of the unexpected
Two hearts joined in perfect harmony making the
true dance complete.
Latin dance typically includes dances originating in Latin America and the Caribbean islands such as cha cha cha,
rumba, samba, salsa, mambo, danza, merengue, tumba, bachata, cumbia, and bolero. Some dance instructors also include
tango and Argentine tango in this list, although these differ from the rest in their style. In Argentina tango is not
considered folk dance as is the case with dances like chacarera, gato, escondido and zamba. Typical Bolivian folk dances
are morenada, kullawada, llamerada, caporales and the recently created tinku. In Colombia one of the typical dances is the
cumbia, not to be mistaken with Argentine cumbia, a popular music genre influenced by Caribbean reggae and ska.
